What can cause skin lesions to keep reappearing in the same spot?

shingles......thye follow the nerve
What can cause skin lesions to keep reappearing in the same spot?
Skin cancer or pre-cancerous spots. If they are kind of red and dry and just never go away it may be pre-cancerous and they usually can freeze (cryosurgery) these off.

Are they on the face?

HIV causes Skin Lesions to keep reappearing... have u been tested for HIV?
Reply:Could be warts....
Reply:yes it is pre-cancerous spots.

I have one on my forehead from years of burning in the sun.

It goes away and then comes back. It is red, and forms a thin clear scab and then it goes away and comes back.

My rat has some skin lesions, what could be the cause?

will shaving her help?
My rat has some skin lesions, what could be the cause?
Can you describe the sores more in-depth. It could be anything from mites to simple scratching so I would need to know more about the sores.

Don't put her down until you know what is wrong with her - it could be something really simple to fix.

allergies to litter (dont house in pine or cedar), too much protein in her diet, mites or other parasites can all cause skin problems. without more details, its hard to know for sure, or advise on treatment.
Reply:Please don't shave her!! She could be suffering from various things, like mites, mange, lactose intolerance, excemia, or food allergies or to much protein. She could be allergic to the bedding, other animals, your perfume / body spray, insectbites. The list can go on. I know spiderbites also cause hairloss. Is there something warm near here like an open lightbulp? Better to let a rodent friendly vet check her out. In the meantime you can relieve her pain with something like neosporin, or a cold compress.
Reply:You kissed it and gave it herpes.

Itchy skin - no lesions?

My skin is really itchy - especially at night. I itch everywhere, arms legs, torso, back, face, ears. It is not severe but it is annoying and keeps me from sleeping because I am imagining that there are bugs on me (I have done several very close examinations and am certian I dont have bed bugs) I dont have any scabs or bites or track marks or anything visible on my skin that would suggest scabies or fleas or anything like that. What could this be?
Itchy skin - no lesions?
It could very well be eczema. Sometimes you get no noticeable marks from it, but it itches like crazy! I personally have it and recommend seeing your doctor. They will give you a steroid creme ointment or sometimes if it's severe enough an injection or oral medication. The creme is what I have and it is a relief for the itching! See your doctor to make sure that this could be what you have and not just some bizarre allergic reaction to laundry detergent or something.

If your place is worm or hot you might have bed bugs. check for bed bugs , they are small black dots like a pin needle. When i go to bed i get them them some times, i put the pillow and my bed sheet in the freezer for a few hrs in a garbage bag to kill them .
Reply:You really aren't going to see evidence of scabies.

Check with a dermatologist to be sure you don't have that.

There are others forms of chicken pox out there too.

Skin itches, lesions, pain, fatigue, insomnia?

does anyone else have this problem ... the doctors have no idea :( and the only thing we have been able to find is a thing (new and not recognised by GPs) called Morgellons.

Symptoms: skin crawling, sores that don't heal but continue to produce various 'things'. The 'things' vary from fibrous to what look like a little white worm. Naturally the GPs say it is delusional parasitosis but if that is the case the my hubby is very strong minded as he has made them appear on my skin also!

The other symptom that seems to have no solution (sleepers do not work at all) is insomnia ... really really bad.

We live a fairly healthy lifestyle. I was wondering how many people may actually have this disease/infection? I am looking for people in Australia particularly.
Skin itches, lesions, pain, fatigue, insomnia?
I found a Morgellons message board/blog thingy that seemed to have a lot of people from Australia on it. After doing a little I definatly think that's what you have. My heart goes out to you, girl. I have mastocytosis so I kinda know what you're going thorough. Best of luck!

Skin itches, lesions, pain, fatigue, insomnia?
Hi! I have googled this and read a lot about it. First I saw the patients on a news show here in US. You may want to read the websites and add your name to the directory, and there is a way your doctor can communicate with other doctors who know about Morgellons. It would be nice for you to meet someone with the illness online who can give you support. Best of luck to you!!
Reply:Skin problem sounds like a fungus. See a dermatologist. Insomnia may not be related at all, just another problem which could have a few causes such as external noises, too light in the room, TV in the bedroom? I'd change my GP as he/she hasn't helped you at all. Good luck!
Reply:those are Morgellons symptoms. do you remember being in a garden, and being bitten by a thripe/bug/tick? I've found most people, especially family groups, have a common bug bite... and often get re-bitten.

Morgellons seems to hit people with compromised immune systems more than people in top health!

When I had Morgellons I could not sleep but it was from the creepy crawlies! a hot bath soothed enough that I could sleep.

It's a virus (I believe) and can be cured, but people can also get re-infected. Many whole families suffer to the point of insanity. I got it all by my self, but I know exactly when I was bitten!

Start taking some immune boosting drugs, keep your skin clean and moisturized, don't pick the lesions. collect the fibers, and anything else that comes out of the lesions.... bring them to the GP and have them analyzed... it's not skin, hair or any human secretion.

Good Luck, from an EX-sufferer.

What is the natural way of removing skin pigmentation such as skin lesions and freckles?

Umm, read your question 5 times and think about it. Focus on the word "natural."

Anyone had bad experiences with accutane?

I have bad acne, and really oily skin, these big lesions that come up, and I'm a virgin and 23 and this sucks big time. So I want to fix the problem. Here's the kicker: I've had years of RELENTLESSLY bad anxiety, panic attacks so scary that it renders me unable to do anything but go to a hospital, and such. What's the solution?
Anyone had bad experiences with accutane?
Accutane is powerful, but it hurts the liver.

first, the easy stuff. reduce stress and get a full night's rest every night. being tired and stressed can cause acne. then change your diet. eat more foods that have beta carotene vitamin A such as carrots and sulfur(sulfur is a potent anti-acne mineral), found in eggs. Garlic also helps because of its strong antibacterial properties, but who'd want to rub raw garlic juice on your face?(i heard of it, but it sounds like an ancient remedy-you'd be better just eating it). See, acne can also be caused by your facial grease trapping oil and dirt and bacteria in your pores, which becomes inflammed and turns into acne and whiteheads. drink iced tea and eat lots of watermelon. some people say diet has nothing to do with the condition, but i seem to think otherwise. if it doesn't work, no harm in it either. stay away from greasy/fried foods, hot conditions, and beef(i hear beef boosts testosterone, which in turn boosts acne outbreaks as well).

wash your face with moderately hot water-not all the way hot-that can be damaging to skin also. but hot enough to open up the pores so everything can be scrubbed away. it feels refreshing and gets rid of the oil and grease. don't wash to excess, or that can also lead to more oil production. once in morning, once in the afternoon, once in the shower. you can also just wash to clean away the oil if your face gets too greasy. don't use corrosive substances like rubbing alcohol(who would do that?). it's damaging to the skin, and can lead to more oil production to balance skin pH.

getting too much sun can also contribute to the condition. yes, it creates vitamin d and it may initially seem to improve, but it really doesn't and damaging to the skin.

salicylic acid, witch hazel, benzoyl peroxide all fight acne with the peroxide being also a mild bleach. go the hygiene aisle of your grocery store or pharmacy. there are dozens of facial washes, cream, facial pads(but those are more commonly used by women such as neutogena) and lotions that contain these ingredients. but watch out for which ones if you're allergic. also try Proactiv and its cousin variants(ive seen them in Wal Marts), all in a multi-pack complete set(benzoyl peroxide, cleanser, sulfur mask..) with accessories you can order.

or you can ask your doctor if he can prescribe a medicine that simply kills the sebauceous(sp.) oil glands so no more greasy skin. of course, your skin will be dry forever and you'd have to use lotion all the time...

i hear of this technique, at some doctor's offices. they clean your face, slather it with aloe vera juice mixed with herbal powder of pearls(that's right, ground up pearls), and put a mask over your face and you sit under a heat lamp until it dries up. right away, the acne/dirt/grease is absorbed out and your skin becomes whiter immediately. but not alot of doctors do it, i think. it's a weird and complicated process. bascially a maxed herbal cleansing...
Anyone had bad experiences with accutane?
I would suggest Acne Free..it works well for me, Ive tried dozens of products since 2003.
